A volunteer writes: I had the pleasure of meeting Betty Boop this past weekend. Upon her arrival at the Care Center, she was very shy and a little sad. We went for a walk (she walks beautifully on leash, not even the slightest bit of pulling), she then explored the play yard, as you can see in the video below, and had some treats. She''s such a little doll who needs a loving forever home. If you''re interested in adopting Bettty Boop, come to Staten Island Care Center to meet her.

The first time I met her, I spent quite some time coaxing her out of her cage with treats and head skritches (she likes skritches!). She eventually and calmly let me put the leash on her and then off we went for a quiet stroll down the street. She would definitely be a sweet, quiet companion for any laid-back owner, as long as you are willing to provide skritches and treats.
